Connected platforms (Meta & TikTok)

9. TikTok data handling

When a client connects their TikTok account to Pulse via TikTok Login Kit, we request only the scopes required to produce their reports:

  • user.info.basic — to confirm and display which TikTok account has been linked (open id, avatar, display name).
  • user.info.profile — to show the connected handle, bio link and profile URL on the client's report header.
  • user.info.stats — to display follower count, following count, likes count and video count on the audience summary card.
  • video.list — to list the user's own public videos and read per-video metrics (views, likes, comments, shares, play duration) used for cross-platform engagement reporting.

Pulse is read-only with respect to TikTok content: we never post, edit, or delete videos, and we never message other users on your behalf. We only call TikTok APIs to refresh data for the report belonging to the user who connected the account.

TikTok access and refresh tokens are stored in a private, server-side database table that is not readable by end users. Only verified server functions belonging to your agency workspace can use them. Tokens and any cached TikTok data are deleted when you disconnect your TikTok account from Pulse.

We do not share TikTok data with third parties, sell it, or use it for advertising or training AI models.

10. Meta (Facebook & Instagram) data handling

Connected Meta Page, Instagram Business and Ad Account data is handled on the same basis as TikTok: read-only, used solely to generate reports for the client who authorised the connection, stored in private server-side tables, and deleted on disconnect.
